Our Story

Ounje Alabeke is a fine restaurant based in Newark,  New Jersey area. In addition to our signature smokey jollof rice, we serve a variety of delicious Nigerian dishes.

We are a vibrant team with a love for preparing tasty recipes, so our clients can indulge their taste buds.

Our journey to opening this restaurant won’t be complete without a mention of the numerous times we accepted orders from clients to serve at their private and public events. With each successful outing, we received more requests to open this restaurant.   

That’s why our mission is to make your day a pleasant one by offering take out, delivery and catering services. We are always a call or click away from meeting your culinary needs.

Ounje Alabeke is led by its founder, Mulikat Adeola Carew-Bakare, who grew up helping her mom prepare and serve meals in their small family restaurant.
